What is Route Insurance?

Route is premium package protection for your Wufers order! When you add Route's Package Protection at checkout, you can easily file claims for lost, stolen, or damaged packages in the unfortunate case that they arise while also protecting the planet! When you file a claim, it will be reviewed for approval
by the Route team, for a reorder or refund within 24-48 hours.

Every time you add Route Package Protection to your order, Route donates to support an agroforestry initiative that removes CO₂ from the air and promotes a flourishing ecosystem.

Note: If your order does not have Route, Wufers is only able to issue STORE CREDIT for any damages, lost, stolen or melted product.

How do I file a claim for my lost, stolen or damaged package?

If you insured your order with Route Package Protection at checkout, you will receive a confirmation email from Route with a link to file a claim.
Filing a claim can be done very quickly through the Route Claims Portal!

You can file claims for lost, stolen, or damaged packages. Note: Make sure to have the Wufers Order Number and/or the Route Order
ID ready to use with the claim form.

Open your email from Route. In the email, copy your Route Order ID as you will need it to file the claim. (many times this will auto-populate for
you)

How does Route reimburse me?

Route will process your refund or reorder. If your order is returned, the payment made for Route insurance is non-refundable.

I bought a 'Build Your Own' item that is damaged. Why is it only offering me a refund?
+

Our custom Jar Build software is not able to duplicate any past orders as your selections are not saved. You must re-order your Build Your Own product after receiving your refund from Route. If you have any questions or need support - give us a bark and we can do it for you!

Where are Wufers cookies made?

Our treats are proudly made at 2345 Discovery Drive,London, Ontario, Canada using locally sourced, human-grade ingredients. We develop all of our recipes in our own test kitchen, and each Cookie Box is baked, packaged, and shipped right from our bakery.

Are Wufers cookies safe for my dog?

Our dogs are family, and the safety and quality of our gourmet dog treats is incredibly important to us. All of the ingredients in our cookie and frosting recipes are locally sourced, human-grade, and recognized as safe by the US Food and Drug Administration and approved for use in animal food by the Association of American Feed Control Officials, which regulates pet food in North America.

All Wufers gourmet dog treats and Cookie Boxes are produced and packaged in accordance with recognized manufacturing practices and all federal, state, and local regulations.

We humans enjoy a fun treat or sweet indulgence as part of our own fulfilled lives, and the same goes for our dogs – our cookies are meant to be given as a treat, and should never replace your dog's regular, balanced meals.

What are the ingredients?

Our frosting is a yogurt-based, dog-friendly confectionery coating, safe for dogs and appropriate for a treat. The frosting ingredients are sugar, palm kernel oil, soy lecithin, vanilla, dried whey, and food coloring. We use both natural and artificial food colouring, all of which are recognized as safe by the US Food and Drug Administration and approved for use in animal food by the Association of American Feed Control Officials, which regulates pet food in North America. If your preferences are to shop all-natural – please look out for the ‘100% all-natural’ badge located on each product page of cookies that qualify.

What if my dog doesn't like the cookies?

Based on the happy reviews of thousands of dogs and dog parents, we can safely say that's not likely! Our gourmet dog treats are baked fresh in our own North American bakery, using ingredients that most dogs love, like apples and peanut butter.

Of course, while most dogs go a little crazy for our cookies, all dogs are unique and have their own tastes and preferences. We also totally relate to pups having their own sets of unique sensitivities. If it's your first order with us and you find your dog is just not that into their cookies, please contact us! We'll be happy to refund your order.

How do I store Wufers cookies?

We recommend that you store the cookies in a cool dry place, a Wufers cookie jar is a perfect spot! It can be right on your counter, but not in direct sunlight (as it causes the cute designs on the cookies to melt!) We also recommend to NOT refrigerate or freeze the cookies, they will crack or condensate which will leave your cookie design looking a little less then perfect!

My dog is small – will they be able to eat the larger cookies?

We love little pups! Although some of our cookies are as large as 6 inches, your small dog can absolutely still enjoy them. Many of our pup-parents with small but mighty dogs find breaking or cutting the cookies into smaller pieces is helpful.

What’s the shelf life of your cookies?

24 months from the time we bake them!

We specially bake our cookies to remove excess moisture, helping to extend shelf life. Each treat in your Cookie Box is individually wrapped in recyclable plastic packaging to prevent smudging. We recommend storing them on a cool, dry shelf – wrapper on or off! Do not freeze or refrigerate. 

How many treats are in a Cookie Box?

The exact number of cookies and treats in each of our Cookies Boxes varies from 9 to 12 and also vary in size. However the weight of all packaged boxes is 800g/1.76lbs. You can find precise information about the number and type of cookies and treats in each box within the product’s description. 

Can I send a Wufers items as a gift?

Absolutely – it's the best way to say "I love you" in dog! When sending a gift directly to the recipient, make sure you toggle 'Is this a Gift?' and enter your gift note. This note will be included in your package physically as well as an email will be sent!

Ordering, Shipping, Returns

How long will my order take to arrive?
+

Your order will be processed within 24 hours of receiving your order confirmation, or the next business day for orders placed on holidays and weekends. Following processing and shipping, orders will generally arrive within 2-4 business days when delivering to the contiguous United States and Canada.

Standard shipping is always free on orders over $70 (pre-tax)!

2-Day Expedited Shipping guarantees that your order will ship within 2 business days once your order is processed. This option guarantees your ship-by date, not your delivery date. If you paid for 2-Day Expedited shipping and your order does not ship within 2 business days, we will gladly refund you your shipping costs.

Please note that orders being delivered to Hawaii or Alaska may require more than 3-5 business days for delivery. If you suspect that your order may be lost, please email our team at info@wufers.com.

Where can I find my order tracking number?

You will find your order tracking number in the shipping notification email you received from us. If you have trouble finding it, send us a message and we will be happy to help you!

I didn't receive a confirmation email – did my order go through?
+

It doesn't happen often, but occasionally order confirmations can be delayed or end up being marked as spam by your email provider. If you received anorder numberas part of your checkout, your order has gone through. Be sure to save your order number for your records. Contact us if you need any help!

How do I cancel or modify my order?

Please contact our support team if you would like to make changes to your order. Orders cannot be cancelled once they are placed. Also please make sure that you are using the desired shipping address at checkout as this cannot be changed once placed! Please contact our Support Team if you have inputted the wrong address within 1 hour of order placement. We cannot guarantee an address change once the order has been placed , for immediate response on these issues, reach out from 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship all across the USA and Canada! We are currently working on expanding to Europe in 2025/26!

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping (3-5 business days) is free on orders that total $70 or more at checkout. This total is before taxes and shipping, and excludes products added to your order after checkout via post-purchase offers that may be made.

Damages & Costs

How do returns and refunds work?

Our 100% Happiness Guarantee means that if your dog doesn't like the cookies, we'll make it right! This only applies to first-time orders, so you can try us out with peace of mind.

If you have purchased Route with your order, you can claim your order for 100% cash refund if your dog doesn't prefer the cookies!

My order arrived damaged or is incorrect. What now?

We carefully package every cookie order in our bakery to ensure that it arrives to you in perfect condition. Sometimes, once your order leaves our hands, disappointments can happen, but we will always make it right. If your order is incorrect or damaged, please reach out to info@wufers.com right away. You can also claim your order with Route if you purchased it with your order. Include photos of your order as you received it, as well your order number for a speedy solution!

We will always stand by our 30-day 100% Happiness Guarantee and will make sure that you receive the quality you expect, and the product you wanted. Please note that occasionally, certain items will be noted as a final sale. These items do not qualify for returns or exchanges. This guarantee covers the cookies and their quality only, if you have a ruff carrier or shipping experience, please reach out to us with questions!

What are my payment options?

We accept payment from all major credit card companies, as well as PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Amazon Payments, in the eligible countries.
