The Advent Cookie Calendar is our most-anticipated product of the year, and this year, we really wanted to do something special that would make humans smile, make dogs drool, and make coming together every day for this little moment of happiness a bright spot in the countdown to Christmas.

We wanted to give you an advent calendar that you would love so much that you'd want to leave it out all season long, as part of your holiday décor. Here's how we brought it all together:

It all starts with the inspiration.

First, we created a moodboard, to finalize the color palette, illustration style, and pattern ideas we wanted to incorporate. We discussed options and looked at samples for specialty printing on the cover, eventually settling on a festive copper metallic foil.

Next, our designer sat down with a pencil and hand-drew each adorable, festive dog featured on this year's Advent Cookie Calendar. This was such a fun part of the process, as the personality and style of each holiday pup is what truly makes the design come alive.

After much discussion and tweaking, our design was finalized and we sent the files off to our printer! A month of anticipation followed, before we received a proof to review and approve. Next, each box was painstakingly printed and assembled over the course of several months. 

Now it was time to bake every cookie that would go into the Advent Cookie Calendars. Our bakery got busy baking and hand-filling each calendar, in anticipation of our upcoming September launch date. After lots of baking, photos, videos, and planning, it was finally time to bring the Advent Cookie Calendar to you.
